Incredible Pizza

Took Ben to Incredible Pizza yesterday for a fun date with him. I'm starting to see evidences of him turning two. He understands things so much easier and is starting to do a lot of things himself. First we did some of the toddler area things, like the rides and the inflated jumping castle. He is actually getting too big for some of the toddler rides now. Ben is quick to disappear if you're not watching. He managed to climb out of the toddler ride and get to the mock bowling alley they've installed next to it. He had a ball half way down the alley before I could catch him. Speaking of bowling, here's Ben at the bowling alley from last weekend. The first two frames he bowled were an 8 and 9. Not too bad, I do say.

After the bowling alley, I showed him this really cool train ride. HE LOVED IT! Look at that precious smile!

I thought maybe we would try mini-golf next. I wanted to see if he could finally understand how to hit the ball with the club instead of just carrying the balls. He really seemed interested in using the club, or stick as I called it. At first, he still wanted to just carry the ball to the hole, to which I would respond, "yeah! I got a hole in one!"

But by the end of the course, he had pretty well figured out that the "stick" was to hit the ball. If he couldn't hit it, he would crouch down and just toss the ball down the green. :~)

Last night as we were getting ready for bed, I thought I would give Ben a snack after his bath. We ended up camping out on the floor in his room. With our apples and milk, we had a picnic on the floor in his room. We ate our apples and looked through books naming colors and fruit and saying animal sounds. What a fun way to calm down for bedtime.

Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone! Be happy, relax, spend time with family, and BE SAFE!
