Cruisin

Saturday, September 22
Crusin' back to the oldies!

My mom wanted to try a new restaurant in a neighboring city. A 50's-style burgers, dogs, and custard place called Cruisin' USA. We were surprised to find a car show and games on the lot when we drove in.

First, we had some custard and fries...

...while the youngest slept.

Then we played with the bean bag toss.

Then we walked through the parking lot to look at some of the classic cars.

We saw cars from movies, such as "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" and "Cars." Cars like the Studebaker, a Firebird, a Corvette, Chryslers and Fords galore, and an old El Camino like my mom drove.

We even saw this little car that was more like a car for my owner and her siblings to drive! It is so small.

Movie

Saturday, September 22
Movie at the library

We're watching Peter Rabbit at the library! I feel so at home. Those are my friends on the screen!

While they are in Mr. MacGregor's garden eating some vegetables, I think I'll eat some of these yummy carrots and (popped) corn while I watch.

My family likes this movie.

Watching the film.

Recycling

Saturday, September 22
My mom likes to help the earth by recycling whatever she can. We go every Saturday and take a trunk full of recyclables to the drop-off. I'm helping today.

Pirate Day

Wednesday, September 19
Talk Like a Pirate Day

We dressed up like pirates and received free food at Long John Silver's.

Arrr, matey!!

I made some stuffed friends today. To my right is Raspberry. We met yesterday. To my left is Doodle.

After watching my owner eat, I got hungry and ate some fish myself.

We had sword fights!

Then we rested in the car. A full tummy and all that sword fighting wore out my friends and me. This is another friend. Her name is Spot. You can see she was quite tired from all the fun.

Homeschool Store

Tuesday, September 18
We visited our local homeschool store, Pilgrim's Way. The kids like to play and read while Mom is shopping. Today, I had some fun, too. Our new friend, Raspberry, played with me.

We did some reading.

And some playing.

Campout

Friday, September 14
I'm going camping! I'm so excited!
My owner gets to have her first overnight stay and two fun days at Girl Scout camp - and I am going with her! We're going hiking, river splashing, cooking over a campfire, making crafts, and sleeping in tent cabins. How fun!

Little sister, big brother, and Lamb Chop came along to bid us farewell.

P.S. This is our trip home the next day. I had so much fun. I am very tired as we stayed up late. I'm also a little wet as we played in water and with bubbles today. I think I'll go home and take a nap.

Groceries

Wednesday, September 12
Our family makes one big grocery trip a month. Today was our big day. By the end, I was surrounded, if not buried, under fruits and vegetables. I can't say that was a bad thing as I am a vegetarian, you know. After all, I am a lamb.

Chick-fil-a

Wednesday, September 12

This is my favorite breakfast of all, Chick-fil-a! It is even better when it is FREE! Yummy chicken biscuits this morning.

Park Day

Tuesday, September 11
Today is a day of remembrance for 9/11/01. We briefly studied it after our morning trip to the park.

We visit the park twice a week if it's not raining. We walk a mile and then the kids play. I had a chance to walk next to our puppy today and played on some equipment. Then, I stopped in the shade for a drink before we went back home.

Birthday

Saturday, September 8
We were invited to another birthday party. I watched the kids try on silly outfits, stand in front of a camera, and make a slow motion video for the birthday girl. Some kids even threw dollar bills in the air. Oooo, I wished the money had been real as I would have caught it!

Then we play a game called Headbandz. Each player had to figure out their character through clue questions.

Then we tried out their Play Station game, Rock Band.

Happy birthday, Friend A! We had so much fun helping you celebrate.
