Labor Day Vacation

We drove down to Branson on Labor Day and joined my parents at the campground they had been staying at. It had been a beautiful weather weekend, great for camping. They had a great site at the bottom of the hill overlooking the valley and surrounding hills, though it was somewhat blocked by trees.

Ben enjoyed sitting outside in this chair.

He has a thing for crossing his arms if he sees you doing it.

They had the biggest pool I had seen in a long time, and the deepest at 10 feet. This huge rhino became the center of attention for the men because they tried over and over to get on top of it.

Daniel soon found a place to rest after all his fun and play.

There was also this kiddy pool that Ben enjoyed playing in. It had a spraying frog fountain. He was scared of it at first, and then we couldn't keep him away from it.

We tried Monday night to go to Silver Dollar City's evening program. God had other plans for us. First, mom lost her keys to the trailer. Then, I discovered I had left my purse at home, so I didn't have my season pass. Then, just as we finally got through the front gate, a heavy downpour drew crowds out of the park. Thinking they had cancelled the show, we left. Tuesday after loading up the trailer, we again set out for SDC. While we were waiting for the tram to pick us up from the parking lot, we learned from another couple that they had not cancelled the show the night before. How sad we were. This time as we got through the front gate a light drizzle started, which set in for the day. We still stayed till mid afternoon though it was a cold and wet day.
