Final Preparations

Some call it nesting. I just call it feeling the need to finish preparations. Today was cleaning and completing day. I spent two hours this morning cleaning downstairs - vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishes. Thought I'd get to the upstairs, but it didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow.

I finally had Hubby for a whole night, no class tonight, to do stuff around the house. First he had a repair in the downstairs bathroom. Then he finally got around to changing batteries in toys. I also had him hang the lightswitch plate we bought that is in the jungle theme.

I had two boxes of clothes & blankets in the garage to finish putting away. While Hubby was changing batteries, I worked on those. I even got the hospital bags packed for Baby & me! Lastly, Hubby & I worked together to hang the curtains.

Here's a round-about look at the Family Room. First, you'll see the matching beds, curtains, and switchplate.

A couple days ago, I got all the preschool posters hung in the Family Room. The room looks so adorable now, learning stuff all around. At first I thought it was over-kill, but it is growing on me and now I really like it. Here's a look at all the fun learning stuff!

When Tweety first woke up that next morning, he was so excited. He walked around the room pointing at the alphabet borders and then running to each of the posters and talking about what was on each of them. I was glad he liked it.

With all the changes complete, I stood there reflecting, rubbing my tummy, and said, "Baby, you can come tomorrow! We're ready for you!"

Wow! Are you considering homeschooling? Because your family room now looks a lot like my dining room did.

I've really been enjoying your posts (I don't miss any of them, although I send them to an aggregator so I don't always read them right away). It's like "keeping in touch" even though we haven't visited in years.
I will be watching to hear about the arrival of that new little treasure!
