So the day I've been dreading came and went today. I turned 30. Or as Mom wanted to rub in - "Oh no, 3-0!"
It was a quiet day today overall, Little One and I didn't do too much. We slept in, since I didn't go to bed until about 2:30 am after working last night. Then we went to church for a while for rehearsal. After that, I drove around town for a while as Little One slept, checking out all the garage sales trying to find a play kitchen for him. Then we came home for a nap.
Hubby got home about 5:00 pm and we headed out for my birthday party. I enjoyed eating BBQ with my family and friends this evening.
This pic is of Little One and his buddy from daycare, Thompson.
Then we headed to a bowling alley and bowled a couple games. My 88-year-old grandpa beat my mom & dad, and my friend Kendra beat her husband, Hubby and me. Course we all had a couple "gutter ball" frames where we let Little One have a turn.
Even though it was past Hubby & Little One's bedtimes, we drove to north Spfd to meet with Mom's bestfriend, Marti, who was visiting from Minnesota. We sat around sharing stories and eating ice cream until almost 11:30 pm.
It has been a long, restful, and enjoyable day. Even though I dreaded the big 3-0 today, it was just another, ordinary day in my life. Blessings to you friends, thank you for spending my birthday with me.
