I commented on Little One saying "Mama Book Color" yesterday. We had a visit from our Parents as Teachers rep last week. I was not thorough enough with her to describe how much he is talking now.
This morning after we woke up, Little One came into the bathroom and saw his bathtoys. He said, "toys bath," then preceded throwing all the toys into the tub so I would give him a bath. I didn't give him a bath though, instead we went in the playroom to watch Sesame Street. Elmo is always more important.
After I turned on the TV, I asked Little One if he wanted to play with his trains. "Choo-train, choo-train!" Then as he passed the rocker, he patted the chair and said, "Mama sit down."
He's getting so bossy! :)
He frequently comes to me and says, "hand." Then he grabs my hand and pulls me to where there is something he wants to show me. The other day, I laid down while he was napping. When he woke up, he came into my room saying, "Mama, mama." Then he pulled down the covers and grabbed my hand and pulled me out of bed! It was time to play!
Returning to talking...he repeats EVERYTHING now. You have to be careful what you say. On Tuesday night, we were at a meeting (with Ben in tow, not fun) and a lady held up a book. Little One looked at me and said "gook" for book. Moments later as the lady was talking she said, "This book is called, Copycat Hands." Real loud, Little One echoed, "Copycat Hands," just as clear as day. The speaker turned to me and asked what he said. I told her "the title, Copycat Hands." She smiled.
Lastly, when we went to the movie Tuesday night, we had an interesting episode. He learned to say popcorn, so whenever he wanted some he would yell "popcorn" during the movie. Though I would ssshhh him, of course he couldn't be quiet about it, he's only two. About halfway through the movie, Little One decided he was tired. He would turn around, yell "Mama" and give me a big, tight hug. Since that didn't work, he then started saying "Plug, blankie, plug, blankie." Daniel swooped him up and took him out to the car to get his desired items. When they returned, he said loudly, "Mama!" Then ran down the aisle and climbed into my lap. He then got comfy and dozed off. That was nice. I felt bad for the other 10 people that were in the movie to have to listen to him. At least he wasn't screaming & crying like most kids do!
