Breon Family Ramblings

Saturday, March 1

It is Saturday!

It has been an interesting week around here.

I've tried several times to have our taxes done. I finally made it to our CPA on Tuesday, but it has taken me all week long to finally finish my "homework," things that we forgot. With a home-based business and Hubby doing several "contract labor" jobs, we have lots of expenses and mileage to research. It's not that I hate doing taxes, but surely there is an easier way of doing things.

I've also substituted alot this week. I decided to take Friday off to get caught up on some things. Instead, Little One is experiencing the stomach flu again. Boy is he miserable. I feel sorry for him, yet I'm also hoping that I don't end up with it again.

Vandalism. We have to deal with this today and notify our landlord. Someone has bent the latch to the gate. It's almost in a u-shape and the gate latch is almost pulled off. This morning we also noticed one of the fence posts is split in two. Even with all the wind we've had, I don't think it could have caused these problems. Really makes you think twice about leaving doors unlocked.

Cleaning up debris. Hubby heard that we can take storm damage limbs and yard waste to the recycling places. So we plan to get this done today too.

I also have to run to the post office to pickup a parcel. On one of the icy road nights, we witnessed a lady drive her car into the parcel box at our street's mailbox. They have since removed it since it was so badly torn up. Now that we don't have a parcel box, we have to drive 5 miles across town to get our mail. Hope they get us a new one soon. Anything that won't fit in our little mailbox gets sent across town.

But first, we're eating a lovely breakfast at home. We love Saturday morning breakfast around here... biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon and sometimes cinnamon rolls. Mmmm...yummy!

It's going to be a busy day. Why is your day off not a day off at all? No wonder Sunday afternoons are spent napping! Blessings to my readers...have a great weekend! ENJOY THE SUN!!
