First Words

Baby Bird has hardly said anything through her first six months. About two weeks ago, right about the same time we finally got her some antacid medicine at her 6mo checkup, she suddenly started speaking in baby babbles. Lalala and babababa were some of the first sounds. Then mamama appeared. Over the last two days, it has become quite clear that Baby Bird knows her first word - Mama. She says it alot now. When she sees me enter the room, "mama." When she's being held by someone else, "mama." When she's in her exersaucer or another contraption and wants out, "mama." Awww, that's my girl.
