I Can Do This Myself

Last night, Little One went potty by himself! Shocked me! He left his room where we were playing and disappeared into the hallway. A moment later, I heard "clunk" as the seat went up. Then I heard him say, "di-do" which is "diaper," and came walking back into the room carrying the diaper he had been wearing! I giggled, then told him to throw it in the trash and we walked to the bathroom so he could go potty. He had already moved the stepstool in front of the toilet when we went in there. He stepped up on the stool, I lifted him to the potty and he went! I helped him down and we washed hands. Then he went back into his room and I gave him another diaper. He managed to get it on - by himself! - though it was backwards. We whooped and hollered, gave high fives, then went down to show Hubby. How exciting!
