Bedroom Change

I'm the kind of person that every so often I find a room that needs rearranging. I had an idea to try Tweety Bird's big bunk bed on the short wall of his room to see if it would open up more play area for the kids. They seem to enjoy playing in his room the most since there is TV & video in his room. Since his room is rectangular, I thought it might be worth a try. Here's the old arrangement. I know you can't really tell the floor space from these, but it was a pretty limited area.

Coming in the door, the bed is on your left. There is a distracting mess in the doorway area and the toys are usually pulled out onto the floor and making the doorway inaccessible.

The floor space seems much smaller here.

+++++

Here is the new arrangement. Maybe it is because the bed is not so "in your face" and kind of pushed off to the side but WOW!!, the space difference is AMAZING! The bunk bed even seems a little bit smaller than it did before. Panning to the left in each picture from the doorway.

The toys will no longer be in the doorway, but are now a main feature of the floor space. Not pictured, I also now have space for my treadmill in front of the window by the bed.

I also wanted to make the room more "grown-up" per say for my "school boy." I wanted to make the desk a more featured item for him to do his school work at. Now to find the pieces to this old computer...
