Birthdays

Grandpa turned 90 on Aug 16. My parents took him to Eureka Springs, AR for a few days. Then on his birthday, we took him to Lamberts to eat his free birthday meal. We were all stuffed when we left, and I had two very sleepy kids.

The next day, we celebrated with hundreds of other people, because we took him to the Dixie Stampede in Branson. At the pre-show, they announced a few birthdays. All the other birthdays got a light clapping. When announced Grandpa's birthday, he got quite the hoopin' and hollerin'. That was so neat. As much as Grandpa wanted this birthday just to pass like any other day, a 90th birthday is something to celebrate.

Here is our family just before we entered the show.

Last week, it was my mom's birthday on September 10. She too didn't want to celebrate, but we did. We ate lunch at Captain D's seafood, yum. For supper, we again went to Lamberts. This time we had a camera with us.

Hope you had a great birthday Mom & Grandpa! May God bless you richly this year!!
