Tuesday was Baby Cassie's day for appointments. Today was mine. I woke this morning with chills. Around 11:30 my temp started to rise. I notified my doctor that I was not feeling well and had the chills and stomach cramping. She said if my temp went over 100 to call her back that they could see me at 1:00 pm. I took the ibuprofen she suggested for the cramping. When I first checked it, my temp was right at 99. My chills worsened the next few minutes. Around noon I laid down on the couch under blankets and felt my temp skyrocket. It did go over 100 so I called the doctor back and they said to come in.
When I got to the doctor and they took my temp it was 100.6, and that was even after the ibuprofen. Was I miserable! She checked me over and did an ultrasound, and all was fine. But still the concern of my fever was there. I must have an infection somewhere, so she gave me a prescription. She ordered a blood draw and then we left.
We stopped at McDs as we left for lunch. I stayed with Baby and Tweety so Tweety could play while Hubby drove across the street to Kmart to get my prescription. By the time he got back my fever rose again and I was ready to crash. We came home, I nursed Cassie, then went to bed. I was delirious. I'm feeling better tonight, but can tell I'm still running a fever. Hoping tomorrow will be better as Daniel goes back to work tomorrow and I'll be home with the kids for the first time.
+++My mom says Cassie looks just like me. I think she looks like Tweety, at least she did when she was born. But I saw it tonight. After I gave her a bath and dressed her in a sweet white onesie, I saw it. Her blonde hair gave it away. I saw my face in the little bundle in my arms.
