I got it!! I got it!!

We got our tax refund back today. The first thing I did was to run to Target to get the digital camera I've researched and had my eye on for ages. I went to Target because they had it on clearance, the cheapest price around. Plus their extended warranty was the cheapest.

I walked up to the counter and waited for help. When the rep came over I said, "I'm here to purchase this camera, I've had my eye on it for a while."

She began looking for the package and couldn't find one. After a moment she discovered the display was the only one they had left. She said, "you can buy this one for and additional 30% off."

How could I pass that up!? Extra 30% off!!! I also got a USB extension cord because I'm tired of pulling my CPU out of the desk every time I have to reach behind and plug in the USB. That was $8. The 2GB disk was on sale for $9. And I picked up a cheap cover for only $2, just need something to keep it from scratching. With all my savings, the final cost was still LESS than the original camera price by almost $10!!!

I must have been beaming when I got back to the car. My friend Misti had stayed in the car with our boys so my trip could be faster. She commented how excited I looked, that it's always fun to get something new. When I told her my savings story, then she understood why I was so excited.

Later, when we got home, I told Tweety Bird that I had gotten a new camera and asked if he wanted to see it. He was almost more excited than I was, "A camera? I take a picture!" He practically pulled it out of my hands before I got it out of the bag. After I got the batteries in, I took a picture of him. Then he took it from me and walked around the living room "taking pictures." Every item he'd "snapped" he would turn around and tell me. "Mama, I take a picture of my bike... of the tv... of the kitty cat..."

I wonder who is going to take more pictures... me or Tweet?
