Another Year Together

Today was our anniversary. However, the only time we were able to be together was for about a half hour on the couch watching the evening news. I had events after school all the way up until church time. After church I had to run to the store for milk and cat food among other items. By the time I got home, it was almost 10:00. We decided not to eat a meal for our supper since it was so late, so we munched on a few chips and dip before our supply ran out. Not much of an anniversary.

However, we were blessed yesterday to somewhat celebrate our grand occasion. Hubby called me from work with a sweet surprise. Since it was April Fools Day I wasn't sure whether to believe him or not at first. But as it turned out, some of his co-workers had pooled together to buy us a gift card for a local restaurant. We were able to go out last night and enjoy a nice Italian meal together. Little One went with us. What made it a superbly enjoyable evening is that Little One decided to sleep through the entire meal! He fell asleep on the way over there. We asked for a booth so I could lay him down. He slept soundly. As we left, he decided to wake so we fed him some supper when we got home.

On the way home, we stopped by McDs and rented a movie, August Rush. Hubby was not into the movie. After about 15 minutes of the opening narration/story telling, he decided to go to bed. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie though. Very good.

Thanks, Hubby, for four wonderful years together! I'm looking forward to the future with you!

(By the way, Hubby got in trouble because he told his co-workers we had only been married two years! I've only had to remind him about ten times that it's been four years. But no... it still hasn't sunk in.)
