Nine Months

This is a "busy" post, full of pictures that is, because I have one busy little girl. Baby Bird learned to crawl on her tummy (she looks like she's swimming) just before she turned seven months.

This was a few days before nine months, she learned to push herself up to a sitting position.

These three pics were taken the day she turned nine months.

Waving "hi!"

Sometimes the only way I can get my dishes done is to have a little helper.

Within a few days, she learned how to pull up.

And so we took the crib and the mobile down. Now she looks so little all over again. I feel like I'm getting her out of a play pen when I get her out of the crib. I have to use it now for times of safety because she is ONE BUSY GIRL!! She's pulling up all over the place and definitely is keeping up with big brother and big sister.

I took these two a few moments ago, just a few days from the picture above, and she is actually learning to stand with only one hand supporting her weight. She looks at you like, do you see me, do you see how strong I'm getting???

Oh, and today, Baby Bird has cut the outer two of her four top teeth that are coming in, and today she also learned how to wave hi. She says mama, dada, nana (for banana her first food, but I think she also associates it with any food), hi and all-done!

If I walk into the kitchen anymore, she is at my feet wanting to either eat or just wants attention. But she definitely knows if I'm in the kitchen, it's probably time to eat. She LOVES to eat. At her nine month checkup she had put on THREE whole pounds! (A pound a month, pretty normal, but getting the heartburn medicine was a GREAT BIG help with that gain.) She unleashed her table food eating early. After her nine month mark, the next time we took her to church, I told the nursery she was okay to have crackers, graham crackers and Cheerios. They looked at me like I was crazy. She learned to eat table foods by chewing on pizza crust. Then the Gerber Grad bites, then Cheerios, then just about anything. She had a grape jelly sandwich today when Big Bro & Sis had a PBJ. She eats mac & cheese, I just put it on her tray and she eats away. She also eats pizza diced up into small bites now. This child has all of two little teeth, well almost four on top too, but she has FIGURED IT OUT.

One of my Facebook friends posted the other day that they were working on their baby, younger than Baby Bird, to get him to fall asleep on his own instead of being cuddled or rocked to sleep. Not me. I'm sure Emily is quite capable of falling asleep on her own, in fact she has a couple times. But I am cherishing every moment, every night, that I can nurse and rock my baby girl to sleep because this little one is growing up too fast for me. Love ya, sweet girl!
