T-Ball Games

I enrolled Tweety Bird in T-Ball for the summer. He played with a group of 3-5 year olds. He was definitely the oldest on the team at 6.5 yrs. Having never played ball before, and with his physical abilities behind other kids his age, I knew it would be for the best. In the team shots, look for the tallest kid. That's Tweety Bird. :)

Who would have guessed that for the first game, on June 1st too, that the temps would drop down to 70 degrees and a cold, icy rain would fall. We actually needed jackets that night.

Here's Grandpa with Little Bird.

The team in out-field. Tweety Bird is the one on the far right.

This picture is from mid-June. Baby Bird was having fun, but being a handful. Hubby had just worked a 12-hour day, so yes he was quite tired at this point. :) Those poor benches need to be replaced so badly.

Then these shots are from tonight, the last of the eight games. Today's high hit above 100 degrees. It was still about 90 degrees, but shade of the trees and dry humidity made it bearable. This is the final team pass. Tweety is the "head" above the last red/yellow kids on the right. A coach in yellow is talking to him.

They don't keep score in T-Ball, but each kid did get to take home a really nice "trophy" with a baseball on it.
