My hubby has finally met his match as far as his lame humor goes. Had the conversation below happened between my husband and Kindergarten-aged, Wednesday-child (full of sorrow and grace) son, it would have resulted in my son weeping and crying. Between Hubby and I, it would have resulted in me saying, "oh, be quiet." Instead, this bright, little two-year-old girl surprised us all.
I was preparing Little Bird some pancakes for breakfast. She was bouncing up and down in her chair anxiously awaiting her pancakes, saying, "I want pancakes. I want pancakes."
Hubby walks in the room, "Little Bird doesn't like pancakes."
"No Daddy, I LOVE pancakes!"
We both burst out laughing at her surprise response.
"Are you laughing at me?"
Still giggling, I said, "Because you're silly, Little Bird. We weren't expecting you to say that."
Turning to Hubby, she pointed her finger at him and said, "You're silly, Daddy. I love pancakes."
