Well, our apartment is livable now. There were two areas of boxes left to tackle in the living room. I knew there was a section of garage sale stuff and there had to be more kitchen stuff. One night about 9:00 pm, Hubby and I tackled the mess. We opened wall space to put the garage sale stuff together. Then we moved at least 10 boxes into the kitchen! This freed up a lot of space in the living room. After that, Hubby went to bed. I went to work moving my computer from the kitchen table to the desk. Woohoo!
Last week, I spent a lot of time cleaning. I had a allergy attack Monday morning and was rather "loopy" that day. The mold count was so high, I was just waiting for it to hit me. Wednesday, the Christian Foundation came and picked up 18 boxes of stuff, took our gold rocker, and a couple other things. Then I spent Wed & Thurs deep cleaning and moving things around. Hubby got off work Thursday night at 3:30. At 4:00 they went and picked up a couch we had our eyes on. By 4:30 he was home and we had a couch in our living room. With all the dust I was stiring up, I was miserable and hoarse by Thursday night's open house and chocolate party. But it was worth it, the party was so much fun.
Still have about 35 boxes in the living room, but they are things we need: pictures, our china set, Christmas/holiday decor, etc. Sure wish we had another small closet to put all this in. That would be really nice. Here are a couple pictures of our living room, the final product.
