Apple Pie

Can we bake a cherry pie? Yes!!! Only...ours was apple. On Feb 7, we went to a follow-up course from our marriage classes last fall. The class goal was for the couple to work together to make a pie from scratch - a cherry pie. Neither Hubby or I like cherry, so we took a can of apple filling instead. We made them, baked them, ate supper, ate some pie there, and listened to a short lecture. It was a fun class.

I just had to add a bit of fun. Just like the wedding reception, you wait for the perfect opportunity to douse your new spouse with a little fun and embarrasment. As we were rolling out the first pie crust, Hubby started to poke at me and say, "roll here, roll harder, go over here, add more flour..." Just as he said add more flour I covered his arms in flour. He yelped and I said, "oh sorry...I just couldn't resist." And just when he thought I was going to continue rolling, I slathered his other arm in flour. Then he saw it as fun and we laughed together.
