Christmas Meme

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both, I like wrapping paper best, more fun that way.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial.

3. When do you put up the tree? Whenever I can get around to it, preferably right after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down? Around New Year's Day, usually within the week after.

5. Do you like eggnog? Nope.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Barbie dolls.

7. Hardest person to buy for? The men in our family.

8. Easiest person to buy for? My mom.

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Unfortunately, no, other than on an ornament.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, they’ll eventually get out.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I don't remember.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Home Alone, a Santa movie from when I was a kid that had a red-haired girl in it and a homeless boy.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Around the beginning of November.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes, sorry to say.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Honey Baked Ham.

16. Lights on tree, colored or clear? Colored.

17. Favorite Christmas song? Just one, yikes! I’ll limit to three…O Holy Night, My Favorite Things, My Christmas Wish.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We travel a little, Hubby’s family lives an hour away.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Yes.

20. Angel or star on the treetop? I have both. Whatever makes it up there depends on what mood I’m in when we set up the tree.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? I like opening one or two Christmas Eve and the rest in the morning, but it just depends on when the family can get together.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? The commercialism & the debate about “Merry Christmas” versus “Happy Holidays.”

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Musical ornaments & glass balls in gold and red. However, this year is different. We lost our tree in the fire. Grandpa gave us his tree and I love that it has silver tinsel on it. We decided not to go through the 200 boxes in our garage to find the decorations, so we have covered the tree in paper ornaments that Little One has decorated. It really it a beautiful tree to look at. Still planning to do a Cheerios garland with him too. The term “seeing through the eyes of a child” is really coming to life with this tree.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? HBHam on #15, homemade yeast rolls that my sis-in-law makes, Peanut Butter pie.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I do not really desire any presents. We’ve been so blessed with good fortune among the bad stuff that I’m happy with just living and being together. I think my family is especially grateful this year to have my brother home and recovering so miraculously. I am also grateful that we made it through the fire safely with His protection and guidance. Lastly, I am grateful to have another little Breon growing in my tummy. That is what Christmas is about…love, family, being together.
