PT success!

Hubby got really excited the other night we he was putting Little One to bed. After they went potty, brushed teeth, and were reading stories, Little One started grunting. So Hubby swooped him up, ran to the bathroom and I heard him yelling at me in excitement. "Honey, Little One went poo-poo in the potty! I saved a diaper!" I think Hubby was more excited to save a diaper, but I'm glad he is finally getting on board with helping to potty train.

Today has been a great day for Little One for potty training. He made it all the way through the morning at church without any wet diapers. When we got home, we went to the potty and a few minutes later, I noticed him grunting. Twenty minutes and three trips to the potty later, Little One had completed a bowel movement without ruining a diaper! Wow!

Around lunch time, my parents stopped by to drop off something for me. When I told Little One that Grandma was headed to the door, he dropped his toys and ran to greet her. As she was getting ready to leave, I mentioned maybe I'd go with them to have a soda as they ate lunch (we had already eaten). I asked Little One, "do you want to with Grandma or stay here?" He immediately ran to her and said several times "go nana, go nana." Grandma was really excited to hear that, nonetheless.

This evening we were coming home from rehearsal at church, and as I turned onto our street, Little One said, "Pee-pee." At first I thought he had seen the lady we passed who was walking her baby and he was saying "baby." Then he said it again and I realized he was saying "pee-pee." I pulled into our driveway, unloaded him and took him inside to the potty. To my surprise, his diaper was dry and he went potty again!

About twenty minutes later, he was playing in his room and had shut his door. When I went in to check on him, he mumbled his comments while patting the front of his diaper. I thought I heard Little One say "poo-poo" amongst everything he said. Again, to my surprise again, he had gone poo-poo in his diaper and was telling me about it.

Horay for Little One! Sounds like he's got it.
